The Seven Wonders Of The World

Filed under: Inspirations, Lessons, Life — honeydragon @ 4:05 pm

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present “Seven Wonders of the World.” Though there were some disagreements,
the following received the most votes:

  1. Egypt‘s Great Pyramids
  2. Taj Mahal
  3. Grand Canyon
  4. Panama Canal
  5. Empire State Building
  6. St. Peter’s Basilica
  7. China‘s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied,”Yes, a little.  I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.” The teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, and
maybe we can help.”
The girl hesitated, then read, “I think the ‘Seven Wonders of the World‘ are:

1. To See

2. To Hear

3. To Touch

4. To  Taste

5. To Feel

6. To Laugh

7. And To Love.”

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!

A gentle reminder —
that the most precious things in life
cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

This beautiful message was forwarded to me by a good friend.

A Projecting Nail Is Pulled Out!

Filed under: Lessons — honeydragon @ 1:46 am

People shun a person whose tongue ‘pricks’ like a projecting nail. Though a tongue is only few inches in length, yet it is mightier than a dagger as a sharp dagger only wounds the flesh, but a sharp tongue can wound the spirit of a person. People who can hold their tongue can hold their friends.

The Bumblebee Cannot Fly..

Filed under: Inspirations, Lessons — honeydragon @ 6:51 am

Aerodynamically, the bumblebee cannot fly – and yet it keeps flying!

The bumblebee’s body is too heavy and its wings span too small – and yet it flies!

One wins success by believing one can.

The person who succeeds in life is the person who thinks he/she can.

Every accomplishment – big or small – begins with the belief “I can!”

How To Be Lovely – Part 5 – The Finale

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode, but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows.

The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.

How To Be Lovely – Part 4

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find them at the end of your arms. As you grow older, you’ll discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

How To Be Lovely – Part 2

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child runs his or her fingers through it once a day.
